I am a Registered Nurse with 10 year’s experience working in the area of mental health in a range of settings which has included delivering talk therapy, coaching and clinical / professional supervision.
I am incredibly passionate about working with people to address struggles they are facing in their personal or professional lives that are having a negative effect on their wellbeing.
When working with clients I like to deliver a service that is strength based and focusing on identifying and building on the positive coping strategies they may already possess.

Often when we’re feeling anxious or worried about something, it helps to talk the issue through with someone. Talking therapies are a way of helping you deal with negative feelings by talking with a trained therapist. Through gentle questioning and guiding, the therapist is able to help you get to the root of why you are feeling this way and then work with you to resolve the issue. People who attend talk therapy sessions begin to see issues from a new perspective and learn to change their beliefs and behaviours towards a more positive and healthier approach to life.
Talk Therapy is an umbrella term which includes a number of different therapy methods, or modalities, such as cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and psychotherapy. Whatever modality is used, the objective is to support the client to move forward towards health and wellbeing, and feel stronger, confident and more empowered. Usually 6-12 sessions are needed to fully explore the issues and put in place positive coping strategies.
